Odor Elimination

Odor Elimination Services

Steamatic Total Cleaning and Restoration offers a wide variety of odor elimination solutions for all types of situations.  Smoke and Fire damaged structures can be actively deodorized while being cleaned!  Contents from these losses can be treated in our specially constructed ozone chambers at our fire restoration facility.  Buildings contaminated by stagnant water, cigarette smoke, mold, cooking ingredients odors, biohazard losses, and a wide variety of other causes can very often be purged in less than 24 hours!  We utilize a variety of cleaning products and equipment to ensure that every loss is addressed in the best possible way!

Ozone Treatments

Ozone treatments are a way of actually purging the air of everything that is NOT pure oxygen.  Ozone molecules consist of O3 molecules (O2 is the oxygen that we breathe).  When released into the air, the O2 breaks off and the remaining Oxygen molecule will attach itself to the odor molecules, and actually convert them into pure oxygen.  If you’ve ever smelled the air after a lightning storm, then you’ve experienced nature’s version of an ozone treatment!

Steamatic Total Cleaning and Restoration’s technology takes it a step further.  We utilize an ozone generator called the BioSweep.  The BioSweep actually releases a vapor that decontaminates the surfaces of the structure as well as the air, simultaneously.  For a more detailed idea of the way this works, take a look at the BioSweep website.

Other Odor Elimination Treatments

We understand that after a fire event it may be hard to get the smell of soot out of your mind.  To make your home or office feel comfortable again, we use VaporTek scent emitters to leave the building with a fresh new smell, like vanilla or cinnamon.

On most fire, smoke, or large mold jobs, a thorough duct cleaning is required.  If the HVAC system has been in use while the building was contaminated, then having the system cleansed is usually recommended.  Dust and other debris lingering in the HVAC system can absorb odors and distribute it throughout the house every time the system is turned on.

Once you’ve cleaned the HVAC system, we are able to place scent release blocks in the returns to spread a fresh scent throughout the house.  This is far less concentrated than the VaporTek treatment and is able to be used with the existing system, instead of running extra equipment in the building.
